Trenton Lee Stewart is a very successful author living in Little Rock, Arkansas. "The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict" is the prequel to the Mysterious Benedict Society series, a series about four very special children who all have exceptional abilities and gifts. Their leader is Nicholas Benedict, an eccentric older man who suffers from narcolepsy, a disease that frequently causes him to immediately fall asleep. The children visit many different places, are chased around by henchmen, and must stick together to conquer.
In this flashback, you can read about how their mentor, Nicholas Benedict, became the extraordinary thinker he was... not with a high-class education, but through his own difficulties and friendships in the place he grew up- an orphanage. Join Nicholas, John, and Violet as they look for hidden treasure while trying to avoid bullies, tattle-tales, and the haughty orphanage director, who is also trying to find the treasure. This is a great, action-packed adventure great for adults and kids.
