  • Access is free with a limit of 1 hour per session, with a limit of 2 hours per day. You must sign in each time you use a public internet computer. At the Searcy Public Library you must sign in at the computer station with your library card number.
  • Email access is allowed.
  • All terminals have word processing software for document preparation
  • Printing is available at all library branches
  • Internet use is not permitted for patrons under 18 years of age unless assisted by an adult parent or guardian.

• Laptops for in-house check out
  • Bald Knob, Beebe, Bradford, Pangburn, and Rose Bud Libraries have laptops available. To check these out for in-house use, you must have a library card in good standing, be 18 and have in hand a government issued picture ID which will be held until the laptop is returned.

• A Summer Reading Program is held each year. Check back for details of our 2013 program in May of next year.

The Arkansas Room of the Searcy Public Library is a source for Arkansas History, White County History, Searcy History and Arkansas Authors. Besides the print collection, other popular resources include:

• Searcy Daily Citizen (on microfilm) July 1953 to present
• White County Marriage records and index (on microfilm) (prior to 1920)
• White County Heritage (Journal produced and published by the White County Historical Society)
• Local family histories kept on file

• Ancestry.com-Library Edition This resource is available for use only while at the library.
• America's News - Includes full text access to archives of America's News including the Arkansas Democrat Gazette (1/3/1994 to present) and the Searcy Daily Citizen (8/24/2003 to present)

• Fax Service
  • Fees are $2.00 for the first page sent to a long distance number and $1.00 for each page thereafter. Faxes received are $0.25 per page. See Location/Hours tab for fax number for each branch location.
